Heather is a therapeutic counsellor and artist living and working in Vancouver, BC.
Originally from the UK, Heather successfully completed a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at Staffordshire University and has exhibited her nature themed work both in the UK and in Canada.
She worked for several years engaging and educating youth and the wider community through an urban farm social enterprise project. As she built ties with the UK Transition Towns movement she became passionate about creating sustainable alternatives to the fossil fuel economy and conventional agriculture. This led her to discover the work of Joanna Macy whose experiential group work deeply resonated with her and provided a framework for understanding her relationship with the wider web of life. Heather has attended and facilitated many deep ecology workshops both in the UK and in the Pacific Northwest.
Her ten years of regular meditation practice help to inform her work and direct her activism.
